Have you heard of the famous "Marry Me Chicken"? It is currently taking the internet by storm. Rumor has it that this dish is so delicious, it might just get you a marriage proposal on the spot!

Whether you are looking for a romantic dinner date or just a comforting meal for the family, this creamy Tuscan-style chicken is the answer. It is juicy, cheesy, packed with flavor, and surprisingly easy to make.

Why Is It So Popular?

  • Incredible Flavor: The combination of garlic, parmesan, and sun-dried tomatoes is unmatched.

  • One Pan: Less mess to clean up afterwards.

  • Low Carb / Keto: It is naturally low in carbs but high in protein.

  • Fast: It tastes like a 5-star restaurant meal but takes only 20 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 3 large chicken breasts (sliced lengthwise into cutlets)

  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour (for dredging)

  • 1 teaspoon salt and 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • 2 tablespoons butter

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 cup chicken broth

  • 1 cup heavy cream (or heavy whipping cream)

  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, grated

  • 1/3 cup sun-dried tomatoes, chopped

  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano or thyme

  • Red pepper flakes (optional, for a little heat)

  • Fresh basil for garnish

Instructions

1. Prepare the Chicken Mix the flour, salt, and pepper on a plate. Dredge the chicken cutlets in the flour mixture, shaking off any excess. This helps create a golden crust.

2. Sear the Chicken In a large skillet, heat the olive oil and butter over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove chicken from the pan and set aside on a plate.

3. Make the Creamy Sauce In the same pan, add the minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant. Pour in the chicken broth and scrape up any brown bits from the bottom of the pan (that's where the flavor is!). Lower the heat and stir in the heavy cream and parmesan cheese. Simmer for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.

4. Add the Flavor Stir in the sun-dried tomatoes, oregano, and red pepper flakes. Taste and add more salt if needed.

5. Combine and Serve Return the cooked chicken to the pan. Spoon the luscious sauce over the chicken and let it warm through for another minute. Garnish with fresh chopped basil and serve immediately over pasta, mashed potatoes, or rice.

Chef's Note

If you want to keep this low-carb, serve it over zucchini noodles or with roasted asparagus instead of pasta.
